Co-Hosted Event At RE ASSETS India 2017 India’s Largest & Only Event For Wind & Solar Energy Operations, Maintenance, Data Analytics, IToT”

Capture Every Unit Of Energy, Maximizing Value From Each Wind Turbine Assets

The area of wind turbine operations and maintenance (O&M) represents a growing segment and business opportunity in the wind energy industry. Wind turbines can provide large amounts of electricity, cleanly and reliably, at prices competitive with any other new electricity source – if they are properly operated and maintained. As of 2016, At present, the total renewable power installed capacity in the country is around 40 GW. The Wind power installed capacity in India has crossed 27 GW. The sector has undergone a major shift in India, from tax-credit driven investment to mainstream IPPs. This has led to the setting up of large and small projects that deploy the latest technology and practices.

By 2020, billions worth of wind installations in India will be out of warranty, thrusting the financial risk on the owner to provide cost-effective operation and maintenance. And in the next 20 years, the India will require more than 50,000 additional wind turbines to supply 20 percent of the nation’s electricity.

Operations and maintenance, safety management systems, and other project reliability activities are becoming the critical elements affecting profitability in the sector.

There is an enhanced focus on good asset management and O&M practices coupled with enhanced data measurement and monitoring tools for increased plant life, better project returns and seamless grid integration.

Apart from reaching 175GW by 2022, focus is also on maximizing energy from the installed renewable energy systems, minimizing downtime and reducing cost of the projects. Good Asset Management and O&M practices have an impact on both technical and financial performance of the projects while improving the life of the projects.

India’s premier Wind Operations, Maintenance & Asset Management Forum will have an array of insightful discussions, impressive networking opportunity and the whole of the supply chain present, providing the ideal platform to meet valuable contacts and achieve great business. This conference is designed to specifically focus on the key technical, operational, financial and IT related issues of managing wind energy projects in the country. The event will see participation from India’s 150+ delegates & experts from across the globe.
